So, you’ve figured out how to solve the problem and you’ve tested the waters to see that your approach is effective. If you’ve made it this far, then it shouldn’t take long to realize that you’ll need a great team to accomplish great things. As a founder, one of the most important things that you’ll do which will arguably have the greatest impact on your organization’s success will be the team you build. It is important to identify the right steps that you’ll need to take in order to build your A Team.
My friend who is a professor of Entrepreneurship at HBS recommended Who by Geoff Smart. This is a must read for those beginning to build their team as well as those who think they know it all. I have gleaned from the processes and approaches that Geoff brings to light. Even though one’s budget may not allow one to compete for the A Player, the starting point is knowing how to find them.
